Frequently Asked Questions About Your CalCareer Account

1) Do I need to complete a separate application for each examination or vacancy? Yes. But, with your CalCareer account you can easily submit it electronically for each exam or vacancy you are interested in. If you are required, or prefer, to submit a paper application, you can also do that from your CalCareer account. Select the Application Template you want to use and click on View/Print My Application. You'll have to export it to a PDF first. 2) What do I do if I don’t have an email address? An email address is required for a CalCareer account registration. You can still submit a paper application without an email address if a department allows it. But it's going to increasingly hard to apply for California State Jobs without email and computer access. If you are using your CalCareer account to apply for jobs, it’s important that you check it frequently. Important notices, contact letters and invitations for job interviews will be sent to the email address
