State of California Employee Open Enrollment

2022 Open Enrollment Summer is here which means fall isn’t far behind. For State of California employees, that means open enrollment is coming up. This is the time for State employees to make changes to or enroll in 2023 health, dental and vision benefits. 2022 open enrollment begins on Monday, September 19 and ends on Friday, October 14. Changes will take effect on the first day of 2023. Since State of California employees pay for health benefits a month in advance, they’ll see the rate changes on their December 2022 paycheck. 2022 CalPERS Member Health Benefits Health plan rates for the following year have been finalized and are posted. If you are an active CalPERS member, you can find 2023 rates here . For retirees, health plan rates and options are different. How to Read A State of California Job Bulletin

Job searches start on CalCareers (jobs.ca.gov) 1) As with most aspects of the State's hiring process , you'll want to start from jobs.ca.gov (also known as CalCareers). You don't need to be signed in to your CalCareer account to search for vacancies, but you'll need to be in order to apply for them electronically.
